Julia Caesar – Thursday August 4th

Julia Caesar Thursday August 4th.

“Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your ears!”  The People’s Shakespeare Project is proud to present Julia Caesar, a reimagining of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy, with a slight gender twist.  Shakespeare’s play explores the age-old themes of patriotism, power, envy, and greed.  When the mighty Roman leader, Julia Caesar, is assassinated, questionable intentions mixed with high hopes for the Roman republic collide.  As Mark Antony calls to “let slip the dogs of war,” chaos ensues.  Runtime:  approximately 1 1/2 hours (no intermission).
