Is beauty an indulgence, or is it central to life? As a career aviation artist, Kristin Hill is drawn to the dominance of beauty in her paintings, intertwining the technical function of flight with its grace and form. In this collaborative exhibit, Hill explores the concept of beauty and its importance to the human spirit, while other artists investigate beauty in music, architecture, history, psychology, culture, our living environment, and beyond. 

About the Artist

Kristin Hill is a nationally recognized aviation artist whose four-decade career has centered on fine-art oil painting, custom commissions, and the exploration of flight, sky, and landscape. Drawing on formal training in the fine arts, a lifelong connection to aviation, and firsthand experience flying in a wide range of aircraft—including a rare high-altitude U-2 flight with the U.S. Air Force—Hill brings both artistic sensitivity and technical precision to her work. Her paintings extend beyond aviation to encompass landscapes, skyscapes, still lifes, and the human figure, reflecting her ongoing interest in observation, atmosphere, and the visual experience of the world. Hill’s work has been exhibited internationally and is held in museum, corporate, private, and U.S. Air Force collections; she has also been an active participant in the U.S. Air Force Art Program since 1980 and a member of the American Society of Aviation Artists since 1987.
