The M-Uth Theatre Ensemble, a youth theatre company for teens and young adults of mixed abilities, presents Antigone in Munich by Claudia Hass. After an incredibly successful run last summer, the show returns for one night only, with the entire cast of the original production reprising their celebrated performances. Antigone in Munich tells the true story of Sophie Scholl, a member of the White Rose Society in Nazi Germany, which encouraged passive resistance against the totalitarian government. The play chronicles Sophie’s coming of age and development from bystander to witness to activist, asking the all-too-timely question, “What do you do when your moral beliefs are in conflict with the laws of the state?”
