This is the 17th annual performance of Glorious Sounds of the Season, a festive fundraiser presented by over 250 students and faculty from MU’s Tell School of Music. Proceeds support student scholarships and program development. Traditional holiday favorites are presented alongside a diverse and varied selection of world music. To create musical momentum and excitement, the concert is presented in a unique kaleidoscopic format. Performers are placed throughout the hall — with no applause between selections — creating seamless transitions and continuous music-making. Concert related to Black History Month and Celebrating Diversity of Repertoire Description: Inspired by Black History Month, this concert will celebrate choral repertoire composed by BIPOC and women composers to explore social issues and MU’s EPPIIC Values. Composers will include H. Leslie Adams, Marques Garrett, Elaine Hagenberg, Moses Hogan, and Gwyneth Walker among others.
