Arts Smarts 2024 – Week 2: MUSIC Morning Session – Grades K-2

Monday, June 24, 2024
Doors: 9am | Performance: 9am

Unconventional Instruments
Music is for everyone, by everyone.  Instruments are played far and wide and come in many shapes and sizes.  This week campers will learn about some of the different instruments from around the world, and, learning that music can be made from just about anything, they will create their very own.  The campers will have a chance to create their own four beat patterns using items they find around the Ware!

Campers can register for morning sessions from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, afternoon sessions from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, or both! (For those staying all day, there is a supervised lunch period. Lunches must be brought to camp and will be refrigerated.) Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Both mornings and afternoons feature a “Common Hour” in which all campers join together for a large group creative multi-disciplinary activity. On Fridays of both weeks, there are morning and afternoon performance showcases and art exhibits for families and friends featuring the campers’ work of each week. Drop-off and pick-up at the Ware Center is supervised by the staff. Registration deadline is May 17, 2024.
